Thomas D. ("Tom") Reynal was born in Houston, Texas on November 19, 1957, the only child of Thomas Jefferson Reynal (19301115) and Dolores Wactor. He attended schools in Houston, including West University Elementary, Memorial Jr. High, and Memorial Sr. High school. He studied engineering sciences at Texas A & M University and business administration at the University of Houston. He married Kathryn Michelle ("Kathi") Hazelrigs (born 8/24/62, Bury St. Edmonds, England) on October 24, 1987 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Houston. By the time he was 25, Tom had made a considerable fortune from a self-started electronic systems business that produced alarm and communications systems. By 1985, over 30,000 homes had "Reynal" intrusion/fire alarm systems installed. In March of 1983, Tom purchased a large home in Houston from Orval E. Faubus, previous governor of Arkansas in the 1950's. He would continue to reside and raise his family in this home through 1999 before relocating. Tom and Kathi were divorced in 1997. Tom married Cindy Ann Hurley (born 8/22/73, Houston, Texas) on November 11, 2016 at Likuliku, Fiji.
After his alarm and manufacturing companies were sold in the mid 1980's, he spent his career in marketing and sales positions with large companies including Ferranti Int'l (TRW Controls), Bailey Controls, Asea Brown Boveri (Taylor-Combustion Engineering), Aspen Technology, Inc., and AVEVA LLC (Schneider Electric Software). Avocations include golf and music composition. Tom composed and produced several instrumental albums starting in 2006 and is known/marketed as the artist "Antherius."
